| Project Synopsis: |
One of the biggest challenges for superintendents is completing a renovation quickly without disrupting play. In 2008, Chris Anker had some ponds installed around the course and although the ponds were built to spec, the surrounding areas weren’t finished. This left Chris in a difficult situation – the renovation had already been going on for some time. Could he risk more disruption for the players? Manderley was assigned the project. Having seen this situation before, team lead Scott Hunte recommended what to do. We did the fine grading and then used Fine Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass and 3-Way Bentgrass to do the tie-ins. The project was finished within the week. |
