| Project Synopsis: |
Working closely with the Skydome team, Manderley was able to arrange the complicated logistics involved to provide a world class temporary playing surface to allow the ChampionsWorld series to come to Canada for the first time. The event schedule for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Argonauts left little time for the installation and later removal. Installation occurred over a 16 hour period and involved 18 transport trucks, 800 big rolls and 1.6 million pounds of thick cut turf. The turf was then mowed , manicured and painted in time for the match. After the two events the entire field was removed overnight in 12 hours. |
| Additional Notes: |
Manderley provided another natural turf installation at the Rogers Centre on June 8, 2005. The event consisted of an exhibition game between the Italian national team and Serbia & Montenegro. Installation and removal were completed in shorter time frames than the first time! |
